Each discipline involved in the incident - fire, transport, media etc - inputs their information into a laptop or PC. The information from all seats is then co-ordinated and displayed through a single projector onto a wall screen in the incident room - giving the incident manager, and everyone in the room, a complete picture at a glance.

A full record of the incident is maintained, complete with dates and times.
