Fire Risk Assessment
PLM specialise in fire risk assessment and have developed our own system, which has been tried and tested for 7 years and has recently been updated to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (fire safety) Order.
PLM's system saves you valuable time by giving you the complete solution, helping you to:
- Increase fire risk assessment knowledge and improve the quality of reports, identifying where action is required
- Reduce the time spent creating fire risk assessments
- Gain peace of mind that your fire risk assessment will provide an accurate overview of the current situation and can be easily updated to accommodate any changes in the future
It has been developed by Fire Brigade professionals taking into account a range of working environments and the latest legislation. The result is accurate, professional and consistent risk assessment reports that can be used to demonstrate compliance for the Fire Brigade and insurance companies.
With the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order the fire risk assessment has become an even more important tool to help businesses manage fire safety. PLM offers three routes to help you.
- The PLM fire risk assessment CD gives you a complete system for immediate use. This unique CD guides you through a series of questions, enabling you to create a safe and thorough assessment of the fire risks and suggests solutions to ensure that potential hazards are minimised. Full guidance is given to help you answer the questions and provide remedial suggestions. The fire risk assessment system on CD enables multi-site users to have a consistent approach to fire risk assessment and also helps to maintain a full record of the assessments carried out. Select the CD for the number of assessments you expect to carry out - up to 10 assessments for the smaller company or up to 50 for larger organisations. The PLM fire risk assessment system on CD is available in our on-line shop.
- If you wish to train fire risk assessors PLM offers a two-day competent person course. A comprehensive workbook is included and delegates receive a paper copy of the PLM fire risk assessment system to use back in the workplace. See the course document. Delegates also receive a discount on the PLM fire risk assessment CD.
- Alternatively, PLM will be pleased to come on site and carry out, or review, your fire risk assessments for you. All our assessors are qualified fire safety engineers with many years experience and a fire brigade background. The reports include remedial recommendations and a suggested timescale for action. Contact us for a friendly, no obligation discussion and quote.
