Emergency team leader refresher - Course ref: ER5
Course objectives:
The course is designed to refresh the main areas of emergency team leadership and to give delegates the opportunity to practise their skills in a realistic tabletop exercise.
Who should attend:
This course is suitable for emergency team leaders who have undergone initial training for the role. The course content follows the lines of the initial emergency team leaders course but involves more discussion on the topics to allow delegates to refresh and progress their knowledge and more deeply understand the subjects. It is recommended that emergency team leaders attend this course annually.

- Progressive emergency team management
- Small incident management
- The principles of large incident management
- Dynamic risk assessing
- Syndicate and tabletop exercises
- Short test and end of course discussion.
Course director:
Gordon Gledson MIFireE, CFIOSH, MAE. Gordon was a senior officer in the UK Fire Service and served as an instructor and lecturer at the world famous Fire Service College in England.
Course tutors:
All our tutors are fully qualified emergency responders with extensive experience of managing emergency teams and handling emergency incidents.
Competency testing:
Multiple choice test and practical assessment by course tutor.
Documentation:
Training summary provided for company records, delegates receive course workbook, individual certificate and feedback form.
